School During COVID-19
What You Need To Know
We deeply care about the health and wellness of everyone, and to assure we are taking necessary precautions, the following procedures are in place:
Vaccination:
Vaccination is the most effective strategy to protect from severe disease. All staff and volunteers are required to be vaccinated and we encourage families to vaccinate their eligible children in consultation with their health care provider.
Hand Washing:
Adults and children wash and sanitize hands upon arrival and throughout the day.
Masking:
Masks are optional for adults and students in school settings, and anyone may choose to wear a mask with the expectation that others' choices will be respected.
Staying Home when Sick:
Staff and students who have symptoms of COVID-19 are required to stay home and should get tested. Any staff or student who test positive is required to isolate at home according to CDC guidelines.
Facility & Equipment Sanitizing:
Our dedicated staff is putting extensive effort into sanitizing and disinfecting our center, both indoors and out, in between groups of children and each evening.
Ventilation:
Windows will be open in all classes for added ventilation and classroom air filters will be running while children are present. In addition, the church has increased their HVAC filtration system.
